As part of Sen. Tom George's ongoing fix Michigan bicycle tour, Tom George will be participating in the Tour Da U.P. where he will be making several stops to meet with groups and individuals to discuss ideas on how to turn our state around and fix Michigan. Sen. George will be joined by his son, Matt, during the week of cycling and activities. The Tour Da U.P. is an annual cycling tour that is organized by Teaching Family Homes, cyclists from all over participate to support the organization's efforts to help families and children in need from the U.P. communities.

Saturday, August 1: Alger County Fair in Chatham.
4:00/4:30 PM - Tom will be at the Alger County Republican booth located in the Merchants Building.

Sunday, August 2: Bicycle tour starts in Gladstone and cycles north to Marquette (58 miles).
Monday, August 3: Bicycle tour goes through Iron Ore Mining sites in Negaunee and Ishpeming (50 miles).

May 11, 2009 - Senator Tom George bikes from his home to Arcadia Common in downtown Kalamazoo to kick-off the National Bike to Work Week with the Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce. As a doctor and public servant, George continues to encourage awareness of physical fitness and the importance of making healthy behavior decisions to help control health care costs and increase quality of life. This event will also mark the beginning of several other bike tours that Senator George will be participating in around the state.

We wish Matt, who is a WMU Bronco graduate, much success as he continues to pursue a singing career.
