What does our logo represent?
I have received a few inquiries about our campaign logo. The item over the "G" is a Lincoln style stove-pipe hat. It is an updated contemporary version of the logo from our previous campaigns.
As a history enthusiast, this top hat like the iconic elephant is also a symbol of our Republican Party and reflects my Republican affiliation and interest in Lincoln studies. Abraham Lincoln visited Michigan only once in his life - his 1856 visit to Kalamazoo. As a big Lincoln fan, I also serve on the Michigan Lincoln Bicentennial Commission.
